Community Advice and Support Scheme (CASS) in conjunction with London borough of Islington and other organisations based in Islington have been recently awarded a contract valued at over £3.5 million from the Department for Work and Pension.
This partnership is set to facilitate hundreds of unemployed people in Islington into employment by giving them paid work experience for up to 6 months preparing them for future permanent employment.
CASS will be pleased to work with businesses, banks, insurance, local authority, community/voluntary organisations and other enterprises who are prepared to accept our apprentices at no cost to them to gain work experience. We will be responsible for paying the apprentices' salary throughout their work experience while you as an employer are expected to grant them an opportunity to learn relevant on the job skills which will help prepare them for future permanent roles in the market place.
Our trademark over the years is to ensure that each of our prospective apprentices will comply fully with the employment rules and regulations of the host organisation as failure to do so will lead to disciplinary measures and an immediate loss of opportunity.
While in your employment our apprentices are covered by our public liability insurance which covers them while employed within your business location.
Our Job Seekers and Volunteers will under go a stringent process of initial training before they are released
to you. We induct and coach them in customised training for employment (this includes customer service,
health and safety, responsibility and so on). We will also obtain CRB and references before they are
permitted to work for us or we second them to work elsewhere. We will give you this information if
required and doing so will be compliant with the data protection act.
